The Netanya Community Center serves as an independent non-profit organization and as an executive arm of the Netanya Municipality in all areas of culture, leisure and supplementary education, and constitutes a leading and most significant factor in these areas to all sectors of the community that are growing and developing in Netanya.
The community center is characterized by professionalism and a high level of guidance and content, yet at a warm and homey environment.
The community center runs a wide range of activities in a variety of fields, as well as extensive community and cultural activities, lunch for preschool and school children, youth activities and a volunteer program for dozens of volunteers in various projects.
The community center provides services to a clientele of about 8,500 permanent participants and about 20,000 occasional guests.
The organization’s employees are committed to responsibility and dedication while providing a quick and personal response to each client.
The community center is managed by Smadar Dromi, with a public administration that includes members of the public (residents, leaders and residents of the community), representatives of the Netanya municipality and representatives of the Israel Association of Community Centers. The chairman of the public administration is attorney Yossi Laor Machluf
The Community Center’s programs, services and activities derive from the needs of the community within the framework of a comprehensive world view aimed at improving the quality of life of the community, while taking into consideration and adapting to the unique wishes and needs of the individual and of the various population groups. The Community Center aims to complement the existing services in civil society and to express the value of social and cultural pluralism in Israeli society.
The community center strives to deepen the connection between its programs and the needs of the local community and its wishes by developing and improving the tools for identifying and identifying the needs, developing ongoing planning and evaluation processes, increasing the budgets allocated to the community center from various bodies and institutions, Returns from the community to the community center for self-criticism and change.
