Irina has worked as a teacher of the Russian language and Literature at the secondary school no. 50 in 1196, between 1994-2000, and won the “Teacher of the Year” city contest, awarded the first qualification category in 1996.
Since 1991, she has been actively involved in the Jewish social movement. Having started her public activities as a volunteer of the Jewish center in Nizhny Tagil, where she was able to develop the activities of the Jewish community, leading most of the Jewish public charity in 2000.
Since 2003, the Jewish community, Welfare Center “Hesed-Aleph” under the guidance of Irina Aronovna has been repeatedly recognized as the best charitable organization among the NGOs of Nizhny Tagil.
Since 1998 she has been one of the main organizers of the festival of national cultures of the city of Nizhny Tagil. In 2001 she initiated the establishment of the Council of the national-cultural associations of the city of Nizhny Tagil, where there was a permanent secretary until 2013.
In 2012, Irina Aronovna organized social movement “Together for Women’s Rights”, which has become another result of the activities of the women’s group of the Jewish community of Nizhny Tagil. In 2012, she was awarded a special prize of the Assembly “Women leaders of new Russia” for her great contribution to the strengthening of inter-ethnic relations and the strengthening of intercultural understanding. The winner of the contest municipal grants since 2003, the contest administration grants the city of Nizhny Tagil in 2011.
Since 2013, she is head of the Sverdlovsk regional charity foundation “Ekaterinburg Jewish cultural center Menora”, which became the largest charity organization of the Sverdlovsk region in 2014, among the national organizations.
Today, Menora operates more than 40 community-based permanent program volunteering center, a youth leadership course, charity programs for children and the elderly.
