Irina Lenkovskaya was born in 1960 in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. Irina earned her specialist diploma from the Grodno State College of Music in 1980, where she majored in playing the violin and has been an orchestra player, and she earned her specialist diploma from Kriviy Rig National Pedagogical University in 1988. Irina also studied one year program at Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in 2000.
From 1988 – 2000 she had been the leader of Kriviy Rig National Pedagogical University Student club. From 2000 – 2003 she had been the chief specialist of the Family and Youth Committee in the City Executive Committee of Krivoy Rog. From 2003 – 2004 she had been the leader of family club at JCC/ Charity Foundation Hesed Hana. From 2004 Irina has been the leader of JCC/ Charity Foundation Hesed Hana. Today, Irina invest her time in promoting projects and grants, with the aim of discovering new aspects of Jewish life in the community center, and collaboration with partners.
From 2011 to 2013 Irina had participated at the course at the College Melamedia Institute for Jewish Studies in the FSU under the leadership of Adin Steinsaltz. She often takes part in seminars on Jewish leadership of JDC. In 2013 and 2017 She participated at Conferences for JCC leaders in Israel.
