Commitment of local JCC

General:

  1. Executive Director and Senior Lay Leaders will attend two world conferences.
  2. The JCC will undertake the implementation of a global Jewish Peoplehood program.
  3. Maintain ongoing communication with JCC Global
  4. The JCC will explore additional ways of implementing Jewish Peoplehood programs in the JCC.

Details of commitment, please read carefully:

  1. Executive Director and Senior Lay Leaders will attend two world conferences

    Amitim 2.0-Fellows Conference, in New York, November 5-9, 2017. And the Second Conference of Amitim 2.0 in conjunction with the 10th World Conference of JCC Global in Israel, November 17-21, 2019.

  1. The JCC will undertake the implementation of a global Jewish Peoplehood program
    1. Executive Director will designate a local team, led by a staff member (good knowledge of English required), to work on the program.
    2. The leading staff member will be in-charge for the ongoing communication of the global partnership and for setting a monthly call for the group and other assignments as needed.
    3. Staff members will be ready for ongoing communications with overseas partners, including a monthly video conference.
    4. The program will have a budget (see financial commitment)
  1. Maintain ongoing communication with JCC Global
    1. Commitment of Executive Director and Senior Lay Leader to participate twice a year in JCC Global’s conference calls.
    2. Each global partnership will select a point person from one of the JCCs to be the partnership’s coordinator for up to one year (a position which will be rotated among partners.) The coordinator will hold monthly calls with JCC Global’s program director to update and consult.
    3. In addition, periodic consultation and enrichment sessions (3 to 4 times a year) based on special interests will be offered to professional staff.
  1. The JCC will explore additional ways of implementing Jewish Peoplehood programs in the JCC

    JCCs will be encouraged to implement additional Jewish Peoplehood programs. JCC Global will provide educational resources and guidance for programs and activities that can enlarge the scope of Jewish Peoplehood education in the JCC.

  1. Financial Commitment

    a) For Amitim 2.0 JCCs:

    1. Payment to JCC Global of $2,500 or 10,000NIS a year for 3 years – 2017-2019 for new Amitim 2.0 JCCs. This will be the JCCs share in covering some of the costs of the program and the participation of two people in the Amitim 2.0-Fellows Conference in NY, November 5-9, 2017 and The Second Amitim 2.0 Conference and 10th World Conference in Israel, November 17-21, 2019 (flights, accommodation on a half board basis and all program segments).
    2. The board will commit a minimum of $2,500 or 10,000NIS a year for 3 years towards the implementation of a Jewish Peoplehood program in the local JCC and develop a global partnership.
    3. In addition to this commitment, depending on the scope of the project envisioned, local JCCs will dedicate their efforts to access additional funds from various sources to develop the joint project – from in kind services and fees from participants to private donors and foundations.

b) For continuing JCCs from Amitim 1.0:

    1. Payment to JCC Global of $3,600 or 14,000NIS a year for 3 years – 2017-2019. This is the JCCs share in covering some of the costs of the Amitim 2.0 program and the participation of two people in the Amitim 2.0-Fellows Conference in NY, November 5-9, 2017 and The Second Amitim 2.0 Conference and 10th World Conference in Israel, November 17-21, 2019 (accommodation on a half board basis and all program segments). In addition, JCC Global will cover up to 50% of each Fellow’s economy flight ticket.
    2. The board will commit a minimum of $2,500 or 10,000NIS each year for 3 years towards the implementation of a Jewish Peoplehood program in the local JCC and develop a global partnership.
    3. In addition to this commitment, depending on the scope of the project envisioned, local JCCs will dedicate their efforts to access additional funds from various sources to develop the joint project – from in kind services and fees from participants to private donors and foundations.
    1. Evaluation and PR
      1. The JCC will add JCC Global’s logo in all PR materials relevant to the program, including web and social media.
      2. Executive Director and Senior Lay Leader will be answer periodic evaluation questionnaires.

Non-compliance with the actual commitments may result in withdrawal from the program at any point in time.

Commitment of JCC Global

Like in Amitim 1.0, JCC Global will utilize its expertise and lead the program, providing ongoing supervision, consultation and some financial assistance.

  1. JCC Global will develop a menu of existing successful Jewish Peoplehood programs for participating JCCs to choose from. It will consist of 3 categories:
    1. 5 selected programs that will partner with JCC Global in order to provide and develop entry level models that are adapted to the needs of JCCs around the world.
    2. Amitim 1.0 projects that are replicable.
    3. Bringing Jewish Peoplehood to your JCC – additional ways of implementing Jewish Peoplehood with-in various JCC departments.
  1. JCC Global will develop the Amitim 2.0 global leadership network via video conferencing and face to face encounters, offering two lectures a year for Amitim and periodic consultation and enrichment sessions (3 to 4 times a year) for the JCC and its staff based on special interests.
  2. JCC Global will hold a monthly call with a representative from each project group, offering support and guidance. It will also provide the communication platform for the entire project.
  3. When relevant, JCC Global will provide mentors for the project.
  4. JCC Global will plan and implement the Amitim 2.0-Fellows Conference in New-York, November, 5-9, 2017.
  5. JCC Global will plan and implement the Second Amitim 2.0-Fellows Conference for all Amitim 2.0 Fellows in Israel, November 17-19, 2019 in conjunction, the 10th World Conference of JCC Global that will take place in Israel, November 19-21, 2019. The conference will be open to senior leadership of JCCs and participants of global partnership, thus ensuring that a face to face global encounter will take place.
